Hello, I'm a Christian who at this moment in time is only starting to finally figure out what I really do believe about religion. I am a Christan as I just said, and there are bits I believe and bits I don't believe.
Please note I'm not trying to prove or impose my views on you, I'm just writing down what I really think on these subjects.
1. God -- Believe
God does exist and so does heaven, because otherwise Christianity is 100% wrong, which I don't believe. By not believing in God, that means I don't believe in Christianity, when I quite obviously do.
2. Adam & Eve -- Don't believe
I don't believe them, just because evolution seems a better and more likely option. For creationists who say there's evolution's just a theory, isn't the whole of Religion just a theory?
Plus, the idea that Adam and Eve got busy enough to populate the entire Earth with 100+ children... I mean, that's got to impossible, doesn't it? No woman would be able to survive 100+ babies coming out of her...
3. Noah's Ark -- Don't believe
How could Noah build a giant Ark, fill it with two of very single animal in the whole world, and still have it float? Surely such a giant Ark couldn't be built before the flood began, and surley the wieght of all the animals would cause it to sink.
4. Jesus -- Believe
It's like God, I can't not believe in him really. Like with God, I can't help but to believe in him, I just do.
5. The Bible -- Don't believe in
The Bible gives you teaches about how to run your live and become closer to God. Thou shalt not have sex before marriage, Thou shall not steal.
I've never broken a single one of the 10 commandments (as far as I know), but I don't believe they all have to be definative. Swearing is a sin, yet I do it every day, so is taking the lords man in vain.
I do these everyday because in this day and age, it's hard not too when you grow up with everyone around you doing it themselves.
I believe that, while you don't need to do it, if at the end you're sorry about it and pray to God asking for forgiveness, just as long as you actually feel bad about it, God shall look down on you and everything will be ok.
There are a couple of my views. I have many more, but they'll just start to bore you.
